Wade looks up to his Daddy and wants to be just like him. So that means wanting to do TRIATHLONS! We found a tri for kids that beginners could enter at age 5. It was a great race to start with. Parents could be right along side the kids the whole time. It was very laid back and relaxed for beginners. And Wade could not have been more excited to join in the fun competition. It also helped that he had good friends doing it too!

Oh, and Bree and I (and Nonna!) helped cheer him on too!

Wade takes his mark, gets set, and....
GOOOOO!

We were so proud of Wade, his courage, and positive attitude. He truly enjoyed the experience. We quickly left to celebrate with lunch. It was only later that we found out he won FIRST PLACE in his Age Group (remember the yellow floatie kid?). We missed an Awards Ceremony, but luckily had friends there to pick-up his 1st Place medal. He doesn't actual know we missed a ceremony, so please don't tell him. He was just proud to do so well :)
I have a feeling we will be adding more of these to the family calendar next summer...GO WADE!
