July Happenings

The rest of July was a weird month. I had knee surgery, so that really put a damper on our fun activities. We still managed to get into a little mischief!

Slumb-over with Colt....

Somewhere in all the rain, we managed a few lake days!

Seeing all the construction at the lake, Wade really got into building. He comes home with an armful of scrap wood to build with every time we go. He designed, built and decorated his very own bike ramp...

BUBBLE BATHS!

We did a lot of couch cuddling when I was immobile with my knee. Both kids felt the need to have their knee elevated just like Mom...

They even chipped in with some house cleaning when I was really desperate!

WHITE WATER!!!

We braved the crowds and E. coli for a fun day at White Water with the cousins. I hadn't been since maybe Middle School, but it was all still very familiar to me. I even remember doing the slides with my Grandma Ceil back in the day. Now we have crazy Nonna to fill that role!

Don't tell Bree we left her at home for this one. It was a good choice considering the range of rides the bigger kids wanted to do. Maybe she can join the fun next year.

We made it out disease free!! Or so we think. The kids really did have a blast!!!

A friend of mine made a very interesting observation after a recent trip to though. The lines are long for every ride and food station, but have you ever noticed the bathroom lines are always relatively short? And there aren't that many bathrooms in that place. Just something to ponder for your next trip :)

Nonna & Grandpa Greg Celebrate 25 YEARS!!!

Nonna & G.G. celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on July 9th!!! They had enjoyed their own dinner, then we surprised them with a little family celebration. They shared their words of wisdom for a happy marriage...

Then smashed cake in each other's faces!

4th of July

I was a Peachtree Road Race flunkie this year and slept-in instead. In my defense (if I need one), it was supposed to rain, I'd have to walk the whole thing because of my knee, and Beau would've had to wait hours for me to finish behind him. Oh well, maybe next year.

We did stay down at the condo for the fireworks. See the rain coming in?
