Like most boys, Wade is in love with trucks. The noisier the better. We live close to a busy road, so when we're on our street and a big truck barrels down the main road, it immediately gets his attention, he says "WHOAH!", and points. Well, every Monday morning is garbage pick-up on our street. The truck is so loud it literally wakes him up (if he's still asleep). If he's already awake, he runs to the front door and plasters him face against the window. So it's become a weekly ritual to be sure we're out on the front lawn at 8:00am sharp every Monday morning to see the garbage truck go by. And the great thing about living on a cul-de-sac is that we get to see it come back too!

As the truck is stopped in the cul-de-sac Wade inches down the driveway to get a better look. Then as soon as the engine fires up again, he bolts back to my lap. It makes me laugh everytime.

"MUST....REACH.......MOM.....BEFORE...TRUCK......GOBBLES....ME..UP!!"

As soon as the truck is gone, Wade moves on to more mischief. Here he's trying to figure out the new hose sprayer works. I wish so badly I had video of what happened seconds after I snapped this picture. Frustrated because he can't get the hose to work, he throws it down right on the handle and shoots water straight up his nose. He was so stunned it took him a few seconds to cry. That was the conclusion of our Monday Morning Garbage Time.

Oh my gosh, Maddie is obsessed with the garbage truck too. She can hear it from a mile away. I use to hate those guys because they use to wake her up twice a week coming around our corner. Now i think it is comical how excited she gets when she hears them. She also plasters her face to the window or door. Ha! We definitely have to get these kids together some time...they would have a ball!
