SNOW! SNOW! and MORE SNOW!

Well, Bree got her Christmas wish AND THEN SOME! After a few years without nothing even close to a flurry in Georgia, we got some snow. School was cancelled for an arctic temperatures, then 3 inches of snow with a thick layer of ice paralyzed Atlanta and much of the Southeast. My mom spent 17 hours on the highway and ended up sleeping in her car it was so bad. I felt so guilty at my warm house making snowmen with the kids, while others were literally stuck walking miles to get home. Beau ended up driving a 4 wheeling Gator home at midnight. It was crazy!!

I don't think Bree had any idea what she was wishing for when she asked Santa for snow. It's the gift that keeps on giving!!!

January Happenings

No hibernating here!! Our January....

I was in charge of a meal for MUST Ministries. It was more work than I imagined, but so rewarding to spend an evening with my MOPS girls in service. The residents were so appreciative for simple pleasures, like....lemonade!

Beau and Wade snuck away for a quick guy's ski trip to NC with Hamp and Hudson. It was Wade's first ski experience and now he's HOOKED!

I had a little wardrobe change after my loving brother, Shawn, made me take a swim with him in the pool. I lost a few years off my life but was otherwise fine. It was payback for a prank I pulled on him. So now we're even!

 Beau hoping photographic perspective will make his trophy look bigger!
