August Happenings

After a low key July, it felt like August was a whirlwind!

As soon as school started, Wade become obsessed with writing and really wanted a writing desk in his room. Luckily, Beau had his old desk tucked away at his parents.

 We were able to clean it up and use it for Wade!

Both Wade & Bree have taken an interest in painting in Dede's art studio. They beg to paint every time we visit.

 And since the paint isn't washable, they usually paint naked.

Right before school started, we had some Casa friends to the pool. Wade got to see old friends and Bree got to make new ones! Camille and Anya are both in Bree's class now...

Bree made an immediate friend in Camryn. These two hit it off right away...

Our first babysitter is having a BABY!

 Erin and Trent are having their first child, a baby girl, in October. She was our first babysitter and great friend. Wade had a thing for blonds...still does....so Erin was his favorite. This was my sad post when she left us for a "real" job HERE. And this is the post about Wade as her ring bearer HERE. We love you Erin!!!

Wade loses his first tooth

 A big day in the life of this 5 year old!!! Wade lost his first tooth!!!

After weeks of wiggling, and little bit of fearful whining, OUT IT CAME! Wade only trusted Daddy the dentist to help in this desperate situation. And Daddy was happy to help. Wade had no idea what the tooth fairy is "supposed" to bring when you leave a tooth under the pillow. So he was very happy with the Matchbox cars she left!

We were in the middle of a pool party at Poppa & Dede's when it happened. And ironically, Maggie lost her own tooth moments later!

Bree's First Day of Montessori School

Bree's first day of school was the staggered from Wade's. As a new student, she started a few days later. This girl was so ready and determined to join in the fun at "Wade's School"

Wade stepped in for a little moral support (and Nonna yoga moves??)...

And man, does she know how to work the camera!!!

I didn't know what to expect at dropoff. I was HOPEFUL she was going to be happy, since she did great at the summer camp. But with Bree, you know it's never safe to assume. Luckily, this little girl was thrilled to get out of the car and start her Montessori life...

All smiles and a big wave for Mom!

I spied on the playground at pick-up and she had already found her new best friend, Margaret Waldron. It reminds me so much of Wade's first day at Casa and playing with Wade Cutter (Click Here).

Ms. Rhonda brought her out to the car and I got my sweet, happy girl back in my arms!!!
