The Ballet Star if Born

Being at a new school, I wanted Bree to have activities with her new friends. Luckily it worked out for her to do ballet with Anya, Camryn, and Patty from Casa. I thought Bree would like it, but she's a fickle kid. You never know what reaction you're going to get.

So we prepared the night before with this book I randomly found in our loaned books. It's called "My First Ballet Class" and the girl on the front could be Camryn's older sister they look so much alike.

Then we all gathered at Patty's house for lunch and getting dressed. I still wasn't sure how Bree was going to do with tights, hair buns, and the whole get-up.

But she loved it! She felt special and quickly practiced her twirls...

When we arrived at the precious little studio on Marietta Sqaure, Bree followed Ms. Irene straight in the room and never looked back. A-MAZING!

She's absolutely loved to go week after week!

 One day she spied these "real dancers" practicing...

 All the girls were mesmerized...

So far, ballet has been a big hit. They practice all year and end with a recital in May. I can't wait to see how that goes!!!

Birthday Bashes!

We had some pretty fun birthdays to celebrate in August and September!

Wyatt turned 7 and we missed his baseball birthday party, so we made up for it on his actual birthday. We ambushed him at the bus stop with silly string...

Then went back to the house for cookie decorating! We love Wyatt!

Celie turned 4 with a manicure party! 

Bree, who usually LOVES to get her nails painted, was in a foul mood. So I got mine painted in an attempt to persuade her. It did not. But I ended up with purple nails anyway!

She was warmed up to the crowd by the time we made it to Yogli Mogli...

Then Godfather Beau wanted to treat her, so we took her for a night at the pool and then slumber party at our house!

Lauren turned 5 with a petting zoo party! This girl loves her animals :)

The kids had the chance to hold so many animals.

She's been begging for a pet bunny for over a year. So they finally caved. All the kids had to close their eyes!

August Happenings

After a low key July, it felt like August was a whirlwind!

As soon as school started, Wade become obsessed with writing and really wanted a writing desk in his room. Luckily, Beau had his old desk tucked away at his parents.

 We were able to clean it up and use it for Wade!

Both Wade & Bree have taken an interest in painting in Dede's art studio. They beg to paint every time we visit.

 And since the paint isn't washable, they usually paint naked.

Right before school started, we had some Casa friends to the pool. Wade got to see old friends and Bree got to make new ones! Camille and Anya are both in Bree's class now...

Bree made an immediate friend in Camryn. These two hit it off right away...
