February Happenings

More February fun...

Bree is loving ballet. She goes willingly and excitedly every single week (which is a big deal for her!)

Playdate with Ella Madden...

Our little fashionista. No outfit is complete without a tutu and a sweater...

Library time...

We discovered Bree can have PIZZA! It's the vegan cheese pizza at Maddio's, but we'll take it. She is so happy!

Cuddle time with Cali...

Telluride Ski Trip

I love to ski. I'm not really sure why. It's cold, you schlep your gear to the top of a mountain, fight of altitude sickness, pre- and post-medicate with toxic quantities of Advil for knee pain, and then end the day sore and exhausted. BUT there's something about being out there that makes me want to go back again and again!

We headed out to Telluride, Colorado with some friends. Our trip almost got cancelled as another snow/ice storm hit Atlanta and the airport was shutting down. We were so lucky to be able to get out a day early and escape the madness. We left Wade and Bree with the grandparents to fight the cabin fever and power outages. I felt a little guilty, but not enough to stay home :)

The view from our jacuzzi on the back deck. Not too shabby...

Our first ride up...

My idea of a lunch break! It's amazing when 45 degrees feels warm and cozy...

The Coors mountains...

Since we added an extra day to the trip, we explored on a snowmobiling  day. I really liked taking a day off and seeing a different part of the mountains.

The trip was over Valentine's Day, so we went out for a nice dinner at Allreds (at the top of the mountain). I have no words or explanation for Beau's coat...

Nor do I have an explanation for what I'm doing in this last picture?

It was a great trip with great friends!!! When can we go back?

Asia Day @ Casa

Each class studies and celebrates a different Asian country for Asia Day. Wade's class did Japan! They had stations of Cherry Blossom Art, the story of The Beckoning Cat, Sumo Wrestling, and an erupting Mt. Fugi!!

Gathering and bowing for the feast! You'd be amazed at how well these kids can use chopsticks...

Wade & Om had a place of honor as heads of the table...

Ms. Lori and her costumed kids...

Meanwhile in Bree's class, they studied India. With so many Indian families at Casa, this is truly an authentic experience. Bree wore one of Anya's outfits. Thanks for sharing Anya!

I only got to pop over for a few pictures, but I loved seeing their little minds, hands, and taste buds experiencing India for a day!

And just in case I don't say it enough, I love this little school.
