Wade's First Georgia Football Game

Beau wanted to do something special with Wade and took him to his very first Georgia football game at Sanford Stadium. This father/son adventure was such a treat for Wade! Even though we love the Dawgs, we just don't get to games like we used to (before kids). 

They took off bright and early, armed with layers of warm clothes, snacks of every kind, 2 tickets, and hope that Wade could last through the first quarter :)

Luckily, the weather was warm. The sun was shining. It was a great day for Georgia football. Wade was excited, but started fading by the 2nd quarter. They made it to halftime and Beau retreated, not wanting to press his luck on the first trip. 

They did get to see Uga up close and personal...

And even got to sit on a bulldog.

I'd say it was a great day (and I wasn't even there). We hope it was a first of many games for our little sports fan!

Giving Thanks

On this Thanksgiving, we have many things to be thankful for. It's may not be the Thanksgiving we thought we would have, but instead we had to find the blessings in the things/situations we never thought we'd encounter. I'm not going to list them here, right now, but know we see the blessings God give us even in times of grief and pain. 

We spent Thanksgiving Day with Beau's family. Nicci & the kids were here from Charleston, so it was a full day of fun activity. Poppa found this pumpkin in the backyard that grew completely on it's own. The kids helped in the ceremonial cutting of Poppa's Miracle Pumpkin. 

After swimming in the pool (yes, Poppa made sure it was nice and warm for a little Turkey Day dip), we bribed the kids in to taking some pictures for Christmas cards. They're must more cooperative than they've been in past years, but it's still like pulling teeth (dental pun intended).

Dede made a Thanksgiving tree for everyone to write what they're thankful for. It was a great visual reminder of all we hold dear.

Wade has finally become interested in writing and loved being able to participate...

He didn't believe me that he could write that he was thankful for things like "love and family". He insisted he had to write actual THINGS like "bushes, world, trees, and nature".

Bree was thrilled to be at the head of the table, within reaching distance of Ellis to cheers their sparkling cider every few minutes...

After an early dinner at the Benichs, we stopped by Enzo's where most of my family was dining. Wade & Bree had a quick visit with everyone before we headed home to crash....

Not-So-Happy Turkey

It was an amazing feat, I got both kids in turkey shirts for their last day before Thanksgiving. We were actually going to be on time to school, so I stole a few minutes and forced them to sit on the front steps for a picture. Wade was willing to humor me. Bree...not so much. She was pissed with a capital P. And all I could do was take the pictures anyway. Enjoy!

Celebrating Jennifer & Baby Park!

We celebrated our dear friends Seam & Jennifer with a shower at the Horseradish Grill! Their little bun in the oven is already one of the most loved children in the world. He has no idea what wonderful parents, family and friends he has waiting for him!!!

Baby Alex received the most cuddly snuggly things. Being due in December, everyone wanted to make sure he was cozy and warm!
