Happy Birthday Enzo & Poppa!

Ironically, my dad and Beau's dad have the same birthday! What are the chances? And they were both born on April Fool's Day. Do you think their mothers had a hard time convincing everyone they were actually in labor??

I'm sorry I don't have pictures of Poppa's birthday celebration, but Wade and Beau did get to spend some time in the pool with him. But I do have a few of Grandpa Enzo's bday dinner at the lake. We love celebrating at the lake!!!

"Eat Bunny, Eat!"

Wade's preschool was offering Easter pictures with the photographer that takes their school pictures. So we got dressed up and went for our session. They had 2 bunnies for the pictures, probably in hopes that 1 would cooperate. If there hadn't been bunnies, I don't know if Wade would've been interested at all. The photographer was using flowers to entice both the children and bunnies to cooperate. Well, as soon as the bunny took one nibble of the first flower, Wade took it upon himself to make sure bunny got a full 3 course meal. When the bunny hopped away or seemed disinterested, he started yelling "Eat bunny, EAT!!!"

After his not so ideal run-ins with Santa Claus (peeing on him and kicking him) and now force feeding the Easter Bunny, we're going to take a break from holiday characters until Wade is mature enough to treat them properly. I think they will appreciate the hiatus.

Benich Family Adventures

We lucked out to have Nicci, Ellis, & Rowan in Atlanta the week of Wade's birthday party for their Spring Break AND Ernie and Rosie in from Ohio to join in the madness!!!

Wade isn't the only one to be celebrated this time of year. It also happens to be Dede and Rowan's birthday on March 24, Poppa (and my dad's) birthday day on April 1, and Rosie's on April 5th! So we kept the celebration going all week with excursions, playing and the park, sleep overs, and of course...MORE CAKE!!!

It was busy, but oh so fun! Thanks for hanging with us Benich clan. We miss you so much already :(

We had a SLUMP-OVER Party

...complete with dance party!!!

In the weeks leading up to their week in Atalnta, we promised Rowan and Ellis they could sleepover at our house and have a slumber party with Wade. They were so excited!!! Ellis then started calling it the "Slumb-Over" party, the "Slumb-Over" room, etc. And even though his new room wasn't fully finished, we made it work!

So Ellis was the first to sleep in Wade's new big boy bed, and Rowan couldn't have been happier to sleep in a "trundle". Wade cuddled for a little while, but ended up in his crib. He's not quite ready for the freedom of a bed....not if you expect him to sleep anyway.

We can't wait for the next slump-over at our house!!!

We went swimming...

Poppa was so excited to have everyone in town he had been heating the pool for about a week.


Wade finally got up enough courage to leap into the pool to daddy. He watched Rowan do it and then was convinced it was the cool thing to do...

Then we played in our PJs until the sun went down...

We went to Imagine it!

We visited the Imagine It Children's Museum in Atlanta. It was all of our first times there and the kids had a blast. There's a little something for everyone...


We walked through the windy streets of Atlanta hand in hand

Bargain shopped at "the market"

And found a big train going around the room with Aunt Nicci

Hugged with cousins...

Found a huge train table!

Slid down humongous bananas

Played with moon sand

Went fishin' with Aunt Sheesha (she met us there too!)

Did some more shopping...

Rode a tractor

Created a masterpiece! (someone's taking after Dede's painting skills)

And finally Wade went home to crash while Rowan and Ellis went to the GA Aquarium!
