Wade's Supper Club Debut

Every month I get together with my college sorority sisters for "Supper Club". We rotate from house to house and this month was Stephanie's turn to host. Ironically, Stephanie's Supper Clubs have become "Baby Supper Clubs". Every time we go to her house someone either announces they're pregnant or a new baby joins the crew! This time Wade met some of his aunties, played with Rocco the cat (and Molly's little boy in utero), and threw up all over mom during dinner!! It was great fun!! Thanks Steph! Walk for Wishes

On Saturday we ventured out to the Walk for Wishes for Make-A-Wish. Wade was able to show his Make-A-Wish pride and hangout with some friends. I think he'll grow up to be a great philanthropist! While it appears that Wade is very happy to be here, it's really just gas. Oh well.

The Start of Summer

On the same day the Today Show reported 10-12" of snow for my relatives in Minnesota, we had our first day by the pool here in Atlanta. Rowan, Ellis, and our dog Cali couldn't be happier! Orwell (our other water fearing dog) wasn't AS excited. He hid behind a bush for most of the day. Wade and I stayed in the shade while Beau and Nicci swam with the "big" kids. I don't know who had more fun....the kids or Beau? Can you see Wade?? He's hiding in his camo

Beau's sister Nicci and her kids (Wade's cousins) are in town this weekend to meet Wade. We've had a lot of fun watching Rowan (4) take good care of his baby cousin. He's fed him a bottle, took a nap with him, and holds him a lot. Ellis (2) is also curious about "Baby Wade" and gives him lots of love and kisses. She looked at him yesterday and said "he's so cute". It was precious!
We just wish they lived nearby so we could play everyday!!

Daddy Time

Beau and Wade like to chill on the couch together. After a long day of teeth pulling for Beau and crying in mom's ear for Wade, they can watch TV for hours!!! It doesn't matter if it's The Masters, "How It's Made", or even the Hills...this is where you can find the boys of the house. Sometimes Orwell even joins them on the couch.

Lesson of the Day: Be nice to your parents

As "kids", we all love our parents. But Beau and I have a new found love and respect for our parents since becoming parents ourselves. Not only do you begin to appreciate how they raised you and took care of you....the sleepless nights, diaper changing, love & affection (not to mention teenage years later on...). But also the parents they still are today long after the required by law 18 years. They step right up and take care of you and their grandchild in ways you don't even know you need.
So my advice to all you "kids" thinking about starting a family of your own: BE NICE TO YOUR PARENTS. You'll see why as soon as become mom and dad yourself. And if you don't have parents or don't like yours -- find some (rent some) or do whatever you have to do to get some good ones.
Beau and I just had our second date night while Dede and Papa watched Wade. We had a great dinner, followed by the ever so romantic stop at Wal-Mart. It's becoming a horrible habit we'll have to break soon. But the report from the house was while Tim walked Wade up and down the streets of East Cobb, Diane was busy doing laundry, cleaning, and doing dishes. We came home to a clean house, a sleeping baby, and happy grandparents. What a great Friday night!!!
